CBM India Trust and SIHRLC Sign MoU for Disability Inclusive Eye Health Program

On September 5, 2024, CBM Trust India and the Schiefflin Institute of Health Research and Leprosy Centre (SIHRLC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance disability inclusive eye health initiatives. The agreement was formalized by Mr. Sony Thomas, Executive Director of CBM Trust India, and Dr. Jerry Joshua of SIHRLC. The signing ceremony, held in the presence of Mr. Ravi Ranganathan, Mr. Noman Akram, Dr. Shirley Chacko, Dr. Priya Thomas, and various department heads of SIHRLC, marks a significant step in their collaborative efforts.

The MoU outlines SIHRLC’s commitment to partner with CBM in implementing the School Eye Health Program and delivering eye care services in rural areas through Vision Care Centres. CBM has contributed School Eye Health screening equipment to SIHRLC’s Ophthalmology department to support this initiative.

MOU VIT University

Schieffelin Institute and VIT University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for furthering collaborations in the fields of research and training. The MOU was signed by the Chancellor of VIT University, Dr. G. Viswanathan and the Director of Schiefflin Institute, Dr. Jerry Joshua on 16.07.2024. Also present during the occasion were the Vice Chancellor Dr. V.S. Kanchana Bhaskaran, Vice President Mr. Sankar Viswanathan and the associate Dean of School of Biosciences and Technology (SBST) Dr. Jayanthi Abraham and also the staff from VIT SBST School and Schiefflin Institute.

MOU Thiruvalluvar University

Schieffelin Institute and Thiruvalluvar University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for furthering collaborations in the fields of research and training. The MOU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of Thiruvalluvar University, Dr.S.Thamaraiselvi and the Director of Schiefflin Institute, Dr.Jerry Joshua on 23.09.2021. Also present during the occasion were staff of Thiruvalluvar University and Schiefflin Institute.
