Multicentric trial to study the effect of Active Mobilization as compared to three weeks immobilisation following tendon transfer procedures for Claw Hand
Funding Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
Leprosy affected patients with claw hand impairment are recruited in the multicentric project which is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The project aims to evaluate the role of active mobilization as compared to standard three weeks immobilisation following tendon transfer procedures for correction of claw hand. The project also would compare the outcome of both protocols in respect of anatomical and functional results (ADL). It would help in knowing if the early mobilization protocol leads to early rehabilitation of patient with reduced treatment time in therapy
