  • The 20th Sam C Bose Oration was delivered by Dr. Jerry Joshua the Director of SIHRLC Karigiri at the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Madurai Medical College, Madurai. The post graduate clinical CME was organized for the post graduate students on the 17th and 18th August 2024 at Madurai Medical College, Madurai along with the Sam C Oration.   • The Schieffelin Institute of Health Research – Leprosy Center in Karigiri, Tamil Nadu, India, was selected as the recipient for the prestigious Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) award 2023. The award recognizes a team, or project that has made significant contributions to international health and to advancing Christian love in action. The Schieffelin Institute was recognized for being a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable, sustaining service delivery through extreme challenges, such as the pandemic, and even publishing their work to share their learnings globally.   • SIHRLC was acknowledged by the National Leprosy Eradication Program (NLEP), Tamil Nadu for its six decades of work for the elimination of the causes and the consequences of leprosy.   • Madhusmita staff of SIHRLC was awarded the “Doctorate of Philosophy” by Martin Luther University, Shillong for her work on “Molecular Biological and ImmunologicalStudies on Transmission of Leprosy in Tamil Nadu, India” on October 2019
  • Madhusmita Das has been recognized as one of the Molecular biology experts in “The 2nd “Belt and Road” International Forum for Leprosy Precision Treatment and Prevention, Conference” organized by Institute of Deramtology, CAMS & PUMC, China, co-organized by Nanjing Medical University Centre for Global Health (Nov 06-09, 2019)
  • Sathish Kumar Paul staff of SIHRLC was awarded the “Doctorate of Philosophy” by VIT University, Vellore for his work on “Estimation and Prevention of Impairment in Peripheral Neuropathy using Rehabilitative Sensory Network” on September 2018
  • The work of Sathish Kumar Paul on the Tactile Sensory Feedback System was Selected to be one of the 14 innovations at the “Innovation Festival” at the Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential House), India – 2017
